And rightly so because once Kashmir becomes independent it may become a hot bed of rivalry between India Pakistan USA, Russia and China. Yet personally I too believe that if Kashmiris want an independent Kashmir, let them have it. But if they want to be a par of Pakistan again it should be left to them. Bayonets can never force people to owe their allegiance to a particular state.
You are right when you say Pakistan sent armed men to Kashmir to forcibly annex Kashmir, but Sidhu Ji, same thing is being done by India. The Indian army rules in Kashmir. Had it not been so, there would not have been 60,000 martyrs in Kashmir, who gave their life for their birth right [to live the way they want]. Again personally I also believe that India and Pakistan should decide their mutual problems around a table so that a lasting peace is secured for the subcontinent. We have had enough of blood shed, some time because of Kashmir, another time because of non issues which were made issues to suite the needs of ruling cliques in India and Pakistan.Truemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14278308495741136395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9174016427324397024.post-72057851604610472122011-01-21T23:36:15.261+05:002011-01-21T23:36:15.261+05:00It should be useful to mention here that the BJP i...It should be useful to mention here that the BJP is not India and India is not the BJP. The party does not even represent the majority of Indians in parliament.

Be that as it may, no country in South Asia is willing to let Kashmir be an independent nation. It could have been one after the British left, but the Pakistani army sent its personnel in civilian garb to occupy it. So, the ruler of Kashmir sent for help from India and the rest, as they say, is history. India and Pakistan neatly carved up Kashmir into two parts and have been fighting to grab the whole of it ever since.

Kashmir may or may not be India, but 'Azad' Kashmir definitely is a province of Pakistan, just like Punjab or Sind. :DSidhusaahebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08428201823375343016noreply@blogger.com
